Pennsylvania HB1523 amends the state's statutes to impose excise fees on transportation network companies. Companies operating within a city of the first class must remit a fee equal to 4.6% of gross receipts from fares for prearranged rides originating in the city. Those operating outside such cities must remit a fee of 6%. These fees are to be remitted quarterly and deposited into the Public Transportation Trust Fund. The act also allocates revenue from these fees to fund programs established under the relevant statutes.
