Pennsylvania HB1487 amends the Pennsylvania Election Code by adding provisions that allow individuals incarcerated in a county prison in a county of the first class, who are awaiting trial or sentencing or serving a sentence for a misdemeanor or summary offense, to use their prison residence for registration and voting purposes. These individuals may also choose to vote as absentee electors using an absentee ballot.
