Pennsylvania HB1435 amends the Human Services Code to allow the Department of Human Services to seek a waiver from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for payments for extraordinary personal care services provided by legally responsible relatives to Medical Assistance recipients. The waiver must be approved by the federal government. The Legislative Budget and Finance Committee will review the costs of implementing this waiver and report findings to relevant state officials. This act will take effect 180 days after its passage.
