Pennsylvania HB1416 establishes penalties for interfering with public transit vehicle operators.

Pennsylvania HB1416 amends Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes by adding a section that defines the offense of interference with the operation or movement of a public transit vehicle. This offense includes causing serious bodily injury or death to an operator, causing bodily injury to an operator, or interfering with an operator resulting in serious bodily injury or death of another person. It also includes attempting to cause serious bodily injury or death to an operator or putting an operator in fear of imminent serious bodily injury or death.
