Pennsylvania HB1321 amends Title 51 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to add a chapter titled the Military Spouse Leave and Employment Protection Act. This act allows employees whose spouses are members of the armed forces, National Guard, or reserve components to take up to 14 days of paid leave per year when their spouse is deployed to a combat theater or combat zone, or during a declared emergency or natural disaster. Employers are prohibited from retaliating against employees for requesting or obtaining this leave.
