Pennsylvania HB1289 amends the Special Ad Hoc Municipal Postretirement Adjustment Act to provide for a 2026 special ad hoc postretirement adjustment for retired police officers and firefighters. This adjustment is payable by municipal retirement systems if the retiree has terminated active employment with the municipality's general fund, is receiving a retirement benefit based on active employment as a police officer or firefighter, and began receiving the retirement benefit before January 1, 2016.
