Pennsylvania HB1231 amends the State Board of Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists and Professional Counselors.

HB1231 amends the act licensing and regulating the practice of social work in Pennsylvania. It modifies the composition of the State Board of Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists and Professional Counselors. The board will consist of 13 members, including five licensed social workers, two licensed marriage and family therapists, two licensed professional counselors, one rotating member between those two professions, and one Commissioner of Professional and Occupational Affairs. The act will take effect in 60 days.
