Pennsylvania HB1229 amends the Barbers' License Law to change the composition of the State Board of Barber Examiners. The board will now consist of the Commissioner of Professional and Occupational Affairs, the Director of the Bureau of Consumer Protection in the Office of the Attorney General or their designee, three public members, and six members who are registered barbers in Pennsylvania. Each member is appointed by the Governor with the advice and consent of the Senate. The bill takes effect in 60 days.
