Pennsylvania HB1187 amends the Air Pollution Control Act to require major facilities to develop and maintain a municipal notification plan. This plan must notify the municipality where the facility is located and adjacent municipalities within twelve hours of an industrial equipment breakdown or accident causing air pollution that poses a significant health risk. The plan must also communicate risk mitigation measures and require yearly updates.
