Pennsylvania HB1168 allows vehicle owners to contribute to local fire companies during license and registration renewals.

Pennsylvania HB1168 amends the state's vehicle registration process to allow applicants for driver's licenses, identification cards, and vehicle registrations to make voluntary contributions to their local fire companies. The contributions are $5 for driver's licenses and vehicle registrations and $10 for two-year vehicle registrations. These contributions are added to the regular fees and are itemized by the address of the vehicle owner. The collected funds are transferred quarterly from the Motor License Fund to the newly established Local Fire Company Fund.
