Pennsylvania HB1167, known as the Clean Air Preservation Act, prohibits solar radiation modification, sunlight reflection methods, cloud seeding, and polluting atmospheric interventions within the state. The act imposes duties on the Pennsylvania State Police and sheriffs to issue cease-and-desist orders when such activities are suspected. Entities found engaging in these activities face felony charges, fines of at least $500,000, imprisonment for at least two years, and additional penalties under the Air Pollution Control Act.
