Pennsylvania HB1036 amends Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to exempt active volunteer first responders from vehicle registration fees. These responders must use their vehicles for emergency responses as members of an emergency medical services company, a volunteer fire company, or a volunteer rescue service. Instead of a registration fee, the Department of Transportation will charge a $10 processing fee to cover the costs of issuing or renewing the registration.
