Complete·4/13/26

Oregon HB4145 bans the manufacture, sale, and possession of large-capacity magazines after December 8, 2022.

Oregon HB4145 makes it a crime to manufacture, import, possess, use, purchase, sell, or transfer large-capacity magazines in Oregon after December 8, 2022. Exceptions include licensed gun dealers, law enforcement agencies, and individuals who owned the magazines before the ban. The bill also requires large-capacity magazines manufactured after the ban to be stamped with specific information. The Department of State Police can create rules for implementing these provisions. The bill does not affect pending court cases regarding the constitutionality of Ballot Measure 114 (2022).
