Oregon HB4110 allows an attending physician to provide ibogaine to a patient for the patient’s consumption to treat certain disorders, including post-traumatic stress disorder, major depressive disorder, anxiety disorder, or substance use disorder. The bill exempts ibogaine from the definition of “controlled substance” when obtained, provided, and consumed as specified. The Oregon Health Authority and the Oregon Medical Board can adopt rules to carry out this section. The bill takes effect on January 1, 2027.
