Oklahoma SJR12 seeks to repeal sections of the Oklahoma Constitution related to property taxes and amend the State Board of Equalization's duties. The amendment would remove the State Board of Equalization's responsibility for assessing property taxes. Additionally, it proposes modifying the State Board of Equalization's membership by adding the Superintendent of Public Instruction if the State Examiner and Inspector and State Auditor offices are consolidated. The changes would take effect on January 1, 2030, pending voter approval.
