Oklahoma SB981 amends the state's bail laws to establish a rebuttable presumption against bail for individuals arrested for violent offenses and subsequently charged with another violent crime while out on bond. It also presumes no conditions of release would assure community safety for those convicted of multiple felonies or DUI offenses with prior convictions. The bill updates statutory references and language, effective November 1, 2025.
