Oklahoma SB876 amends civil procedure to establish specific time frames for bringing various actions, including those related to sexual assault. Actions for recovery of damages for injury due to childhood sexual abuse, exploitation, or incest must be brought by the victim's forty-fifth birthday. The act also sets time limits for other types of actions, such as those based on written or unwritten contracts, and those for libel, slander, assault, battery, malicious prosecution, or false imprisonment. The act becomes effective November 1, 2025.
