Oklahoma SB84 modifies firearm storage rules on school property, allowing certain exceptions.

Oklahoma SB84 amends the law on firearms on school property, allowing exceptions for firearms stored in locked vehicles on school property, those carried by designated school personnel, and those carried by individuals licensed under the Oklahoma Self-Defense Act. It also clarifies that governing entities of private schools are not liable for firearm-related injuries unless due to gross negligence or willful misconduct. The act takes effect November 1, 2025.
