SB796

Oklahoma SB796 prohibits higher education institutions from using state funds for diversity, equity, and inclusion activities.

Oklahoma SB796 mandates that institutions of higher education within The Oklahoma State System of Higher Education cannot use state funds, property, or resources to support diversity, equity, and inclusion activities that consider race, sex, color, ethnicity, or national origin. The bill also requires these institutions to review and potentially restructure or eliminate such activities. It prohibits institutions from requiring diversity statements or pronoun disclosure from job applicants. The bill declares an emergency, making it effective immediately upon passage and approval.
