Oklahoma SB760 amends higher education standards to exempt certain institutions from authorization fees.

Oklahoma SB760 modifies the authorization requirements for private and out-of-state degree-granting institutions operating within the state. Beginning with the 2023-2024 academic year, the State Regents for Higher Education will establish and collect fees from applicants to cover authorization costs. However, certain institutions are exempt from these fees, including private institutions participating in the Oklahoma Tuition Equalization Grant program, out-of-state institutions in state authorization reciprocity agreements, and religious organizations or institutions primarily providing.
