Oklahoma SB741 amends the Oklahoma Pharmacy Act to allow pharmacists to test or screen for and initiate drug therapy for minor, nonchronic health conditions under a standing order from a licensed physician or medical director. The bill specifies that pharmacists can perform waived or CLIA-waived tests and initiate therapy for conditions such as influenza, streptococcus, SARS-CoV-2, and lice. However, pharmacists are prohibited from testing or initiating therapy for streptococcus in individuals under six years of age.
