Oklahoma SB567 amends the state statutes to allow patients to request certain restrictions on the disclosure of their protected health information. Patients can request that their health care provider or other covered entity limit the disclosure of their protected health information for treatment, payment, or health care operations, as well as to persons involved in their health care or payment for health care. The act defines "covered entity" and "protected health information" in accordance with federal regulations. The new law will become effective on November 1, 2025.
