Introduced·2/3/25

Oklahoma SB537 mandates the removal of vagrants from within 12 feet of a business doorway and requires relocation to at least a half-mile away.

Oklahoma SB537 amends the definition of "vagrant" to include those in public or private places for illegal purposes. It allows business owners to request law enforcement to remove vagrants within 12 feet of their business doorways, even on public property. The relocated vagrant must be at least a half-mile away from the business and not within a quarter mile of another business. The act becomes effective November 1, 2025.
