Oklahoma SB50 exempts sales tax on purchases of gun safes and firearm safety devices, effective November 1, 2025.

Oklahoma SB50 amends the Oklahoma Sales Tax Code to exempt sales tax on purchases of gun safes and firearm safety devices. The bill defines firearm safety devices as equipment or devices equipped or installed on a firearm that allows a user to program the firearm to operate only for specified persons through computerized locking devices or other integral means. The exemption will take effect on November 1, 2025.
