Oklahoma SB449 modifies the process for funding county rainy day funds and allows certain uses for general budget.

Oklahoma SB449 amends the process for funding county rainy day funds and allows certain uses for the general budget. The bill permits the use of up to one-half of the balance of the rainy day fund for natural disasters declared by the Governor, board of county commissioners, or the federal government. It also allows up to one-eighth of the balance to supplement the county’s current general budget if it is less than the previous year’s budget and if an emergency is declared.
