Oklahoma SB443 modifies the practice of medicine by updating the duties and powers of the State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision. The Board can now hire a medical advisor and obtain national criminal history background checks on physician applicants. It also modifies licensure requirements for physician assistants and foreign applicants, including fingerprinting and background checks. The bill declares an emergency, effective July 1, 2025.
