Oklahoma SB359 allows Service Oklahoma to notify vehicle owners of open recalls and provide a list of recalls for vehicles with registration.

Oklahoma SB359 defines "open recall" as a safety-related recall requiring notification by federal law. It allows Service Oklahoma to check for open recalls using information from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. For vehicles with open recalls, Service Oklahoma can notify owners with details of the recalls and information on how to get them fixed at no cost. The bill also provides protection against liability for Service Oklahoma unless there is gross negligence. The act becomes effective November 1, 2025.
