SB354

Municipal ordinances; removing certain requirement for deposit of certain permanent volume in county law libraries. Effective date.

Introduced·2/3/25

Oklahoma SB354 removes the requirement for municipalities to deposit a permanent volume of penal ordinances in county law libraries.

Oklahoma SB354 amends the notice and filing of penal ordinance compilations by removing the requirement for municipalities to deposit a permanent volume of penal ordinances in county law libraries. Instead, a court may consider a book and page reference of the county clerk’s filings as satisfactory proof of compliance. This change allows for judicial notice to be taken of an ordinance. The act becomes effective November 1, 2025.
