Oklahoma SB350 amends property law to prohibit title by prescription under certain conditions.

Oklahoma SB350 amends Section 333 of Title 60, Oklahoma Statutes, to modify the conditions under which title by prescription can be established. Specifically, it states that occupancy for the period prescribed by civil procedure or state law to bar an action for property recovery confers a title by prescription. However, it also specifies that if the property owner has paid and discharged all taxes and assessments on the land during the period of adverse possession, the possession will not be deemed adverse to establish title or rights in the land.
