Oklahoma SB261 amends the Heritage Preservation Grant Program to allow grants to cover capital improvements and repairs. Previously, grants could only be used for operating expenses. The bill updates statutory language to reflect this change and specifies that preference should be given to projects affecting collections, educational programs, and exhibits. The act will become effective November 1, 2025.
