Oklahoma SB2174 amends the State Fire Marshal Commission's structure, reducing its members to five. Initially, the Governor appoints one member for five years, one from a statewide association of career and volunteer firefighters for four years, one from a statewide association of municipalities for three years, and one from a statewide association of Fire Chiefs for two years. Subsequent appointments are for five years, subject to Senate confirmation. The act takes effect November 1, 2026.
