Oklahoma SB2068 mandates public school districts to establish library advisory committees for each grade level.

Oklahoma SB2068 amends the library media program to require each public school district to create a library advisory committee for each grade level. These committees will consist of a teacher from the applicable grade level, a parent or legal guardian of a student in that grade, and a librarian. The committees will review and approve print materials, nonprint materials, multimedia resources, equipment, and supplies. The act declares an emergency, making it effective July 1, 2026.
