SB1969

Oklahoma SB1969 establishes a multistate licensing system for massage therapists.

Oklahoma SB1969 creates a multistate licensing system for massage therapists, known as the Interstate Massage Compact. The Compact aims to facilitate the practice of massage therapy across state lines, enhance public safety, and support relocating military members and their spouses. It establishes the Interstate Massage Compact Commission to oversee the Compact's implementation, including rulemaking, data sharing, and enforcement. The Compact allows eligible applicants to obtain a multistate license, subject to background checks and continuing competence requirements.
