Oklahoma SB1924 increases the opt-out amount for employees choosing to opt out of the state's basic health plan.

Oklahoma SB1924 amends the Oklahoma Employees Insurance and Benefits Act to increase the opt-out amount for certain employees who choose to opt out of the state's basic health plan. Beginning July 1, 2026, these employees will receive $500 monthly instead of the flexible benefit amount they would otherwise be eligible for. The change applies to active employees who are currently covered by a separate health insurance plan or will be covered by one at the beginning of the next plan year. The bill declares an emergency, effective immediately upon passage and approval.
