Int Text

Oklahoma SB1888 amends school athletic association policies to include transparency and legislative review.

Oklahoma SB1888 modifies the requirements for school athletic associations by mandating that all records be accessible under the Oklahoma Open Records Act. It also requires associations to submit new or amended rules to the President Pro Tempore of the Senate or a designee for legislative review. If the Legislature does not adopt a joint resolution within 30 days, the rules are deemed approved. The bill repeals a previous section regarding student participation after transfers and declares an emergency clause.
