Oklahoma SB1873 amends the Roofing Contractor Registration Act to require all roofing contractors, except those providing roofing labor services directly for a registered contractor, to obtain a residential roofing endorsement to perform residential roofing work. The endorsement requires passing a uniform and practical examination or completing ten hours of approved continuing education. The act exempts those already registered and in good standing with the Construction Industries Board from the endorsement requirement until January 1, 2028.
