Oklahoma SB1868 requires teachers in public schools to present instruction on creationism or intelligent design when teaching biological evolution. The bill also directs the State Board of Education and school boards to not prohibit teachers from helping students analyze the scientific strengths and weaknesses of these concepts. The act declares an emergency and will take effect immediately upon passage and approval.
