Oklahoma SB1854 amends the state's eminent domain laws to prohibit the use of eminent domain for the extension, rebuild, or upgrade of electric transmission facilities rated greater than 300 kilovolts. This bill requires any entity involved in furnishing light, heat, or power by electricity or natural gas to obtain a Certificate of Authority from the Corporation Commission before exercising eminent domain for these facilities. The changes will take effect on November 1, 2026.
