SB1817

Exempts individuals breeding or raising certain wildlife for personal consumption or noncommercial purposes from licensure.

Oklahoma SB1817 amends the Farmed Cervidae Act to exempt individuals breeding or raising certain wildlife for personal consumption or noncommercial purposes from needing a license. Previously, such activities required a license from the Director of Wildlife Conservation. The bill updates statutory language to clarify the exemption and specifies that licenses, when issued, expire on June 30 each year.
