Oklahoma SB1744 clarifies that U.S. Attorneys and Assistant U.S. Attorneys can carry firearms in Oklahoma if they complete a handgun qualification.

Oklahoma SB1744 amends state law to clarify that U.S. Attorneys and Assistant U.S. Attorneys can carry firearms in Oklahoma if they have completed a handgun qualification course developed by the Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training. The Council may issue identification cards to those who qualify and must collect them if the individual is no longer eligible.
