Municipal Code Lien Enforcement Act of 2025 requires notification of mortgage holders before filing foreclosure petition.

The Municipal Code Lien Enforcement Act of 2025 mandates that the code enforcement director notify mortgage holders at least 60 days before filing a petition for judicial in rem foreclosure. The act also requires the publication of the petition in a local newspaper and posting notice on the property. The act updates statutory language and references and will become effective July 1, 2027.
