Oklahoma SB1606 modifies the decommissioning timeline for wind energy facilities in Oklahoma.

Oklahoma SB1606 amends the Oklahoma Wind Energy Development Act to change the timeline for decommissioning wind energy facilities. The owner must now decommission the facility within twelve months after abandonment or at the end of the useful life of the commercial wind energy equipment. If the owner fails to do so, the Corporation Commission will take necessary measures to complete the decommissioning. The act becomes effective November 1, 2026.
