Oklahoma SB1590 creates the Oklahoma Commercial FORTIFIED Roof Program within the Insurance Department. This program encourages commercial buildings to adopt roofing systems that meet enhanced wind and hail resilience standards. Eligible structures include commercial, school, industrial, agricultural, nonprofit, and multifamily residential buildings with five or more dwelling units. The Department can provide grants or rebates for qualifying roof upgrades, partner with insurers for premium incentives, and coordinate with state or federal resilience programs.
