Expands scholarship and incentive programs for teacher preparation in Oklahoma.
Expands the Inspired to Teach Program NEXT-ED Program to include higher scholarship amounts for eligible students pursuing teacher education degrees. Increases incentive payments for employed teachers and requires the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education to create a committee on or before July 1 of each year. Requires participants to agree to teach in an Oklahoma public prekindergarten through twelfth grade school for a minimum of five years.
