Oklahoma SB1537 modifies appointment procedures for the Oklahoma Veterans Commission.

Oklahoma SB1537 amends the appointment procedures for the Oklahoma Veterans Commission. It requires veterans' organizations to submit a list of three qualified candidates to the Governor before a vacancy occurs. The Governor must then choose a replacement from the list provided by the organization. If the organization fails to comply, the Governor may appoint a member at large. The bill also updates statutory references and sets an effective date.
