Oklahoma SB1501 amends medical marijuana business licensing to require a bond for commercial growing operations.

Oklahoma SB1501 amends the Oklahoma Statutes to require a bond for commercial growing operations in the medical marijuana industry. The bond must cover the area of land within the permit area where the license is held. The Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority or the Department of Environmental Quality may require a higher bond amount based on reclamation requirements. The bond must assure the completion of restoration tasks such as removing equipment, remediation of environmental hazards, and prohibiting public access.
