SB1432

Oklahoma SB1432 removes the pilot status and sunset date of the teacher certification program.

Oklahoma SB1432 amends the teacher certification process by removing the pilot status and sunset date of the innovative pathways program. This change ensures the program remains in effect without a termination date. The bill also mandates that the State Board of Education identify providers for the program, which offers alternative pathways to teacher certification. These pathways include nontraditional means such as previous work experience and industry-recognized certifications. The bill declares an emergency, allowing it to take effect immediately upon passage and approval.
