Oklahoma SB1365 exempts the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department from the Oklahoma Central Purchasing Act for certain purchases.

Oklahoma SB1365 amends the Oklahoma Central Purchasing Act to exempt the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department from compliance for purchases not exceeding $75,000 related to merchandise for resale. This includes items sold over the Internet, in publications, or through Department retail outlets. The exemption allows the Department to procure items such as heraldry items, medals, badges, and other military accoutrements. The act also invites exempted entities to participate in an advisory committee to provide input on shared state purchasing contracts and procurement technology.
