Oklahoma SB136 establishes a moratorium on new poultry feeding operations and licenses starting November 1, 2025.

Oklahoma SB136 mandates the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food, and Forestry to halt the registration of new poultry feeding operations and licenses, effective November 1, 2025. This moratorium does not affect existing operations. The Department is authorized to review, inspect, or investigate existing operations. The Department can cease registration if violations occur. The bill also requires the Department to promulgate necessary rules and codifies these provisions in the Oklahoma Statutes.
