Oklahoma SB1288 establishes a dedicated fund for state matching requirements for federal disaster relief.

Oklahoma SB1288 creates the Emergency Management Disaster Relief Matching Fund within the Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management. This fund will be used to meet the state's share of matching requirements for federal disaster relief funds under the Disaster Relief Act of 1974. The fund is a continuing fund not subject to fiscal year limitations and will be composed of appropriated or other received monies. The bill also declares an emergency, allowing the act to take effect immediately upon passage and approval.
